Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal data we process when operating this website and handling reservations, for what purpose, on what legal basis, and what rights you have.

Data subjects

We process personal data about guests who book or make inquiries about accommodation with us (including a person for whose benefit a reservation was made), and about visitors who contact us through the contact form on the website.

What data we process

In connection with running the site and handling reservations, we process the following personal data:

• Reservation form data: first and last name, email address, phone number, country, number of guests, estimated arrival time and your note.
• Billing data (if you request an invoice): company name, company ID (IČO), tax ID (DIČ) and VAT ID (IČ DPH).
• Reservation and payment data: the selected apartment, stay dates, price, variable symbol and reservation ID.
• Consent record: confirmation that you agreed to the terms and conditions and to this privacy policy, including their version and the time you gave consent.
• Technical data from server logs (IP address, date and time of access, browser type), recorded automatically.
• Contact form or direct communication data: name, email address and the text of your message, or data you provide by phone.

Purpose and legal basis

We process personal data for the following purposes and legal bases: (1) handling and managing your reservation – performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; (2) issuing an invoice and meeting accounting and tax obligations – legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR; (3) operation, security and stability of the website (server logs) – legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; (4) handling questions and requests sent through the contact form – legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Providing the data in the reservation form is necessary to enter into and perform the contract; without it the reservation cannot be completed.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking, analytics or marketing cookies and stores no tracking cookies on your device, so we do not display a cookie banner. Fonts are hosted on our own server, so no data is transferred to third parties when they load. The administration login (operator only) uses a strictly necessary session cookie.

Third parties and recipients

When operating the website and handling reservations, some data may be made available to the following recipients (processors):

• Web hosting provider – stores reservation data and server logs on our servers.
• Email service provider (Google) – used to send reservation and payment confirmation emails; the email content, including your name, email and reservation details, is processed. This is a standard personal Gmail account (not a business Google Workspace account), so any transfer to the USA is governed by Google's general terms and privacy policy rather than Standard Contractual Clauses specifically agreed with the operator.
• QR payment code service (api.qrserver.com) – when the payment QR code is shown on the confirmation page, your IP address is transmitted; no personal data is shared, only the recipient’s payment details (IBAN, amount, variable symbol).
• OpenStreetMap – your IP address is transmitted when the map is displayed (Location page and apartment detail).
• unpkg.com (Leaflet library CDN) – on pages with a map, the map script and stylesheet are loaded from here; your IP address is transmitted when they load.
• Booking.com and Airbnb – we only link to their pages and sync availability (calendar); after clicking, their own privacy policy applies.

Disclosure to public authorities

In cases required by law, we are obliged to provide your personal data to public authorities where they request it under a specific regulation – in particular courts, law enforcement authorities, tax authorities, or the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic.

Retention period

We keep reservation data for as long as necessary to handle the stay, resolve any complaints, and for our internal operational needs — typically for several years after the stay ends; older records are deleted periodically as needed. Accounting and tax documents (invoices) are kept for 10 years in accordance with the Accounting Act. Server logs are kept only for the period necessary to ensure security and operation. Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request and thereafter in line with applicable statutory periods.

Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling when processing your personal data.

Your rights

In connection with the processing of your personal data, you have the right to:

• access to your personal data
• rectification of inaccurate data
• erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
• restriction of processing
• objection to processing
• data portability

The right to erasure does not apply to data we are required to keep by law (in particular accounting and tax documents). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (www.uoou.sk). We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but no later than one month after receiving it; in justified cases (in particular due to the complexity or number of requests) we may extend this period by a further two months, and we will inform you if we do.
